LARRY'S 52 WEEKS,2012 - LONG POINT

Long Point is a sandspit that extends for miles into Lake Erie in the deep south of the province of Ontario. It is a subtle landscape of water, marsh, and big sky. Being only a half hour drive from where I live in Norfolk County, it is accessible on a daily basis. For me, Long Point is the geography of home.

Over the course of a year, I explored Long Point with my camera and posted one image per week in the portfolio that you'll find below. By focusing my attention on this landscape, over a defined period of time, I hoped to stretch myself creatively and come up with a highly personal photographic "portrait" of Long Point Country.

The result is a book, "A Year in the Life of Long Point", a collection of the photographs I made over the course of 2012. The book is available in hard cover, soft cover and e-book formats. You may preview the book here:
